Works Cited

Format of MLA’s Works Cited page–READ THESE BEFORE YOU START!

1.    List your entries in ALPHABETICAL ORDER by the first letter of each entry.  Do not consider A, An, or The as part of
the title entry.  Entries are NOT NUMBERED.
2.    DOUBLE SPACE everything, meaning between and within entries.
3.    The first line of each entry should be flush up against the left margin.  All following lines are indented 5 spaces.
4.    You need to make sure you follow the following examples VERY CAREFULLY!  Pay attention to spacing, underlining,
       and all kinds of punctuation.
5.    The title of the page, Works Cited, is centered and DSed after your MLA heading.  DO NOT underline it, put it in
quotation marks, or capitalize all the letters.
6.    If there is more than one city of publishing listed, use the first one in the list.
7.    If there is no author listed, simply start with the title of the source.
8.    Make an entry for any and all sources you took notes from.  If there is information in your speech from a source, that
source needs to be documented on your Works Cited page.
